Boat:

Inishowen Boating Company operates 2 purpose built fast charter boats from Bunagee Pier Culdaff on the Inishowen Peninsula.

The Gemini II is a 39 foot Cygnus Cyfish powered by a 575 HP Scania Engine which gives it a cruising speed of 16 knots. She holds a P3 License to carry 12 passengers

The Vagabond II is a 38 foot Evelution powered by a 450HP Volvo engine which gives it a cruising speed of 16 knots. She is licensed to carry 12 passengers.

Facilities on board both boats are of the highest specification with all modern electronics and safety equipment. There are toilets on board and hot tea and coffee is always available.

Either boat will cater for parties of up to 12, and a days fishing will cost from 400 - 500 Euros depending on distance from port. Off season and midweek offers are always available. Transport can be arranged to meet groups at Derry and Belfast Airport, and there is a good selection of local hotels and B&B;s which can accommodate whole parties and who provide evening meals and packed lunches.

Angling:

The Sea Angling off the Inishowen Coast is as wide and varied as anywhere in the country with up to 24 species being recorded over 2 days from Red Gurnard to Porbeagle Shark.

One of our specialities is Wreck Fishing. over 100 wrecks are within range and have yielded many fine specimens of Pollack, Coal Fish and Ling as well as some good Cod, Wrasse and Conger.

Another speciality is Tope Fishing. Culdaff Bay and Inishtrahull Sound is renowned as one of Irelands premier locations for Tope Fishing from May to September with up to 30 fish boated in one day, and specimens of over 50 pounds all tagged and released.

Base: Culdaff Operational area: From Bunagee Pier, Culdaff, Co. Donegal not more than 15 miles from point of departure or 3 miles from land in favourable weather and good visibility.

Notes: NWCSA member. Most of the wrecks lay within an easy 30 minutes to one-hour steam. There are no long boring journeys prior to fishing here. You just have time to tackle up and ready yourself and it’s time to fish. There has been minimal commercial fishing here due to the fast tides and deep water. The wrecks are literally packed with fish.

Notes: NWCSA member. Most of the wrecks lay within an easy 30 minutes to one-hour steam. There has been minimal commercial fishing here due to the fast tides and deep water. The wrecks are literally packed with fish. Sight-seeing trips also available including trips to Inishtrahull and whale and dolphin watching. Facilities on board are of the highest specifications with all modern electronic and safety equipment. Toilets available on board, and hot tea and coffee are always available.
